Selected by TAILORABLE, our carefully curated selection, has played an important role in TAILORABLE’s evolution 

beyond a tailoring house into an Italian specialty store with a distinct point of view.

For the Autumn/Winter season, we introduce Aurélien, a European luxury brand new to TAILORABLE.

Founded in 2015, Aurélien takes its name from the Latin for “The Golden One.” 

True to its name, the brand draws inspiration from sunlight, warmth, and the relaxed elegance of the Mediterranean lifestyle.

At the heart of Aurélien is the idea of “Smart Luxury”, bringing together fine materials, European craftsmanship, and understated design at a considered price.

With a flagship store in Amsterdam and a presence at leading London department stores including Harrods, 

Selfridges, and Harvey Nichols, Aurélien has quickly established a growing presence in the European luxury market.

For this season, TAILORABLE has selected two styles from the Aurélien collection that pair particularly well with our tailoring.

ACTIVE KNIT 2.0

In recent years, the way men who appreciate classic menswear choose their footwear has changed considerably.

Alongside loafers and derbies, a well-made pair of knit sneakers now feels entirely at home with cashmere knitwear, sport coats, and wool trousers.

Perhaps the best-known example is the Loro Piana 360 LP Flexy Walk.

the appeal of luxury knit sneakers lies in their ability to offer exceptional comfort without the overtly sporty appearance of a conventional running shoe.

The Aurélien Active Knit 2.0, newly arrived at TAILORABLE this season, sits precisely within this space.

The Active Knit 2.0 selected by TAILORABLE is crafted from 100% Cashwool® virgin wool.

Its double-layer knitted upper wraps softly around the foot, much like a piece of knitwear, 

while leather detailing and a lightweight sole give the shoe a considerably more refined appearance than a typical sneaker.

Every pair is made in Italy and available at TAILORABLE in two colours, Navy and Ash Grey, in sizes 40 through 44.

Try them with grey flannel trousers and a navy cashmere knit, cotton trousers and a softly tailored sport coat, or simply with denim and a suede jacket.

Navy works particularly well with grey flannel, denim, and clothing in navy and brown tones.

Ash Grey pairs beautifully with beige, brown, cream, and off-white trousers, creating a softer and more understated look.

For those looking for a knit shoe that offers exceptional comfort while feeling a little less familiar than the usual choices, the Active Knit 2.0 is a pair we particularly recommend trying in person.

AURÉLIEN DESERT BOOT

The second model, the Aurélien Desert Boot, is perhaps the shoe that most closely reflects TAILORABLE’s own taste.

We were drawn to its lighter, more contemporary interpretation of the traditional desert boot. A soft, moccasin-inspired silhouette, a knitted collar that gently wraps around the ankle, and a light rubber sole come together to create a shoe that is exceptionally comfortable, yet easy to incorporate into a classic wardrobe. It was precisely this balance that led us to select it for TAILORABLE.

For its first season at TAILORABLE, Autumn/Winter 2026, we have chosen two colours in different materials, each selected for its versatility throughout the colder months.

Navy Softey® Suede

Crafted from Aurélien’s signature soft French calf suede, the deep navy works particularly well with grey flannel trousers and cream tones.

Brown Grain Leather

A more classic interpretation in brown grained leather. It pairs naturally with denim, corduroy, and wool trousers, making it an especially versatile choice for autumn and winter.

For days when sneakers feel a little too casual, but traditional dress shoes feel too formal, the Desert Boot offers a natural alternative.
