If daytime dressing is defined by practicality and ease, evening wear follows a language of its own, shaped and refined over time.

Restrained colours, considered silhouettes, and fabrics that catch the light with a subtle glow.

Details so delicate that they reveal themselves only upon closer look.

Today, we introduce three evening looks crafted by TAILORABLE.

Soft Curves and Midnight Blue

The silk facing that follows the shawl collar accentuates the graceful curves that define a classic tuxedo.

For the body, we chose midnight blue barathea. The understated texture of the barathea contrasts with the subtle lustre of the silk, revealing greater depth the closer you look.

Midnight blue may appear similar to black, but it has a character distinctly its own.

In daylight, it reads as a deep navy. Under evening light, however, it can appear even richer and more vivid than black.

It is a choice that respects the traditions of classic evening wear while still allowing room for personal expression.

Paired with the gentle curve of a shawl collar, the tuxedo takes on a softer, more relaxed sense of elegance.

Made for the Evening

If daytime dressing speaks of confidence and composure, the tuxedo belongs to the atmosphere of the evening.

Black, stripped of all colour, is perhaps the most restrained choice. Yet under evening light, it becomes remarkably vivid and expressive.

A deep black body, peaked lapels that catch the light, and a clean, composed silhouette come together to give presence to the wearer.

A tuxedo is not a garment made for display.

It is made to honour the occasion, while allowing the wearer to look his finest in a moment that matters.

A beautifully made black tuxedo, then, is more than something reserved for a special evening. It becomes part of the scene itself, completing a moment that will be remembered for years to come.

The Coat Over a Tuxedo

Evening dress does not end with the tuxedo itself.

From the moment you arrive at an evening engagement in your overcoat to the moment you take it off and take your seat, the coat remains an integral part of the overall look.

This double-breasted Chesterfield coat, crafted from black cashmere, was designed specifically to be worn over a tuxedo or suit.

Its long, clean silhouette and double-breasted front lend a sense of formality, while the black velvet collar reflects the traditional character of the Chesterfield.

Though both are black, the contrast between cashmere and velvet brings subtle depth and texture, keeping the coat from ever feeling one-dimensional.
